FLORA AND FAUNA IN AUSTRALIA

Typical of the Australian vegetation are the eucalyptus and acacia trees. From both, there are over 600 species. The fast-growing and undemanding eucalyptus tree occurs in a variety of environments, even in hot and arid central Australia.
In southeastern Australia there are extensive forest areas, the densest vegetation is found in the tropical rainforests of north Queensland. Deforestation leads to a strongthreat to the population and threatening the biodiversity of the forests. In dry areas of Western Australiacomes from the baobab tree.
