...is in the south of Gerringong, in the east of Berry and in the north-east of Nowra. The National Park has a nice picnic at Goologan's Picnic Area. Other spots are along the highway. There you can see platypuses and fresh water turtles in Henrietta Creek. In the park are also spotlight for possums at night. Along the walking tracks are many waterfalls. It's so amazing that you can enjoy the view over the gorge from Crawford's lookout. Also there are rainforests where you can camp; tents and caravan sites, toilets, shetter shed and picnic tables are provided. The activities in the Palmerston Wooroonooran National Park are swimming, fishing, picnics or barbecues and there are wonderful lookouts.
NITMILUK NATIONAL PARK
... is on Palmerston highway and 33 kilometres west of Innisfail or 25 kilometres east of Millaa. The National Park is owned by Jawoyn Aboriginal people. Park features include spectacular dissected sandstone country, broad valleys and numerous, significant cultural sites. The most comfortable time is from May to September. There you can to amazing things like a Flying-helicopter ride. That is an excellent way to see the gorge system. Also you can go on walking tracks in park offering-variety of experience from riverbank strolls to spectacular overnight walks up to 65 kilometres in length. Then you can go camping with powered sites, you can go boating or fishing. You can boil the creek water for five minutes before drinking.
SEVEN MILE BEACH NATIONAL PARK
...is in the north-east of Katherine. You go there, if you go 30 kilometres over a sealed road. The sweep of the National Park is rimmed with sand dunes and a variety of coastal sand forests. At the Beach Road the new wooden walkway to beach and viewing platform and the near by carpark provide easy beach access to all including the disabled. In the park is a large picnic area and barbecues are in a pleasant forest. But there you can't go camping. There are only loop walking tracks through forest and along the beach.
